Lloyd,
There is an active US/Canadian Wireless Set 19 collectors/users group,
with a weekly CW net, where - conditions permitting communications
with 12-15 W - our group uses the WS19.
The mailing list subscription address is:
19set-subscribe at yahoogroups.com . There is a swap list we're
maintaining for Wireless Set 19 related items, but other military
surplus radios are OK as well.
The radio is actually the Wireless Set No. 19, the mark (I, II, or
III) is simply the revision number. The WS19 MkII is the most commonly
available version as many were made in the US and Canada for the
Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program. The WS 19 MkIII is the
latest model, and were only manufactured in Canada. WS 19 Mk I is
rare, they were made in the UK, and the MkII was made in the UK
also(and in Australia).
