Is this transformer's design predicated on choke input or capacitor input
filters?

If choke input, does Dahl produce suitable filter chokes to go with it?

Ah...  therein lies the rub.

Why not add a 28 volt @ roughly 8 amp winding to this beast so that it can
ALL come from one transformer?
