The "deflation" after a "bubble" in any economic system is properly termed a "correction." Recent prices of surplus seem to have gone way too high during the time that people erroneously thought their Real Estate would escalate in price forever. I agree that surplus should be treated in the traditional manner: You buy it cheap, you sell it cheap. There is a factor, however, that is difficult to get around, and that is the expenditure of fuel necessary to hunt down and bring home surplus. Everything else can be discounted.
So, in this tradition, let's do a Reality Check. Today's subject will be The RT-196 PRC-6 "Handie Talkie" Suppose I was to uncover a small lot 700 miles from me. Suppose they were in decent shape, with a Crystal (usually 46.7 MC), with the antenna, and with clean battery compartment.
To make the trip worthwhile to me and to the Petroleum Companies, I would have to ask $35 for a PRC-6
You guys tell me if this is realistic.
Thanks
