With HV FETs (Transistors a different story) the impedances at those
frequencies would not be an issue in my opinion. You would not have to
modify a thing. Build it into a tube base with an adequate heat sink, and

Yes; I am interested in trying hi-volt FETS to sub for these tubes,
but I will not gunch-up the radio to do it. The radio stays
returnable to original-design. That means I would un-hook a part
and tack in a replacement, but only in a way that can be put back.
I wouldn't make major circuit changes so if it can't be done
without re-winding or re-tapping the coils etc., I would skip it.
What do you think- Broadband Toroid auto-transformers in and out
to get the impedences right?
