John,
I think that the connection between the BC-1284 and BC-1269 may be one of
those pesky errors that years ago crept into the Chesson list (that I also
put a lot of work into). The BC-1284 is listed in my database as a preamp for
the 202 MC SCR-602-A Radar Set. I have a TB on the BC-1284 around here
somewhere and think that's where the SCR-602 connection info came from.
I don't have any practical experience with the BC-1269 but quite by
coincidence, yesterday I acquired the 1955 edition of TM 11-260 on SCR-616 (already
had the 1944 edition). The receiver uses an external power supply
(RA-61-A) and an RC-281 antenna equipment.. Same power supply is used with a couple
of similar sets that cover different frequency ranges. So never mind the
BC-1284. You should hope the RA-61 turns up in the pile. :-)
The BC-1269 was the first of three receivers used with SCR-616, the other
two being BC-1269-A and R-593/GRR. Differences between them are relatively
minor.
