The 1969 Fair Radio catalog does list the tube and claims that it is similar
to a 4FP7 and that it uses the same socket as a 5CP11. Back then they were
$1.50 each or 4 for $5.00. Hope that helps - 73 - Mike

The plot thickens ... these are 4" square CRT's and one of the
boxes has a Fair Radio shipping label on it.
They are made by Sylvania and are marked SC2799 P7.
A search of the Fair Radio site came up empty. Too bad I didn't
keep those old catalogs.
