The same thing can be said about the so-called Korean War FM sets of
the AN/GRC-3 generation. These were truely world-class state-of-the-art
sets in their time, but now are sadly mostly forgotten by military radio
collectors. Military vehicle collector types seem to have the best
appreciation for them, but usually only with respect to outfiting a
vehicle accurately.

It was "only" a short 45 years ago when ads appeared often in ham magazines
by those like Bill Slep soliciting for these sets. If only this series
hadn't been so fond of vibrator and ballast tube power supplies that are
so problematic today!
