I was trying last night to recall the nomenclature of the AN/ARC-9 (RTA-1B)
but didn't feel like going in the attic to look at the manual. I've had two
or three of the radios.
And I completely forgot those reverse-coupling monstrosities, which would
be an eighth fairly common connector family. Found mostly on NAV sets like
the SCR-269, and for some reason on the trail antenna reel and controls. I
would submit them as proof that if there are two or three good ways to do
something, someone can almost always come up with another not-so-good way. :-)
