I was going to say that it was probably either AN Series or Cannon 
K-Series.  (AN didn't become MS until early in the Korean War).  If you have a 
photograph of the connector on either side of the interface, that would probably 
answer half of the question.  The main difference between the two series (at 
least to the layman) was that the AN-series had a relatively fine pitch 
V-form thread whereas the K-series used Acme threads.
