Dam, the Dayton Hamvention wont be the same for me with out him. There are more then enough  experts out there who will be the first to tell you how much they know, or what your doing wrong, or that particular design screw was never used on this series radio so everything your doing is crap. Then there are those who would rather see something being used or at least have some sense of humor about the hobby.  Marty was always a participant in the Dayton Nets on 51.0 with one of the more exotic radios like his BC-1000 that did not work one year and after I rode him about it worked perfectly the next or my favorite his “Dixie” RT-70, a RT-70 stuffed into  a “Piggly Wiggly “ shopping basket with batteries, microphone and antenna. I will miss him this year.
