Tnx Breck and as Garner Ted used to say...thats the rest of the story. Yep, I had the number wrong...the FL-8. Mine has a sloping front, but its the same animal. Many thanks..now, for some interesting FL-8 reading.

| I picked up a couple Beam Filters at the RARSFest (Raleigh NC) yesterday.
I remember seeing them in ads back in the 1950s and 60s but never tried one.
Wow, what a great audio filter! I plugged one into my HQ-150 last night and
the station I was working was the only sig heard in the cans...and we worked
for over an hour. Is there any info available such as schematic, orig. use
and general comments. Seems like I remember a designations of FL-1 or FL-3?
These have the Navy/US anchor and NAF 68304 plus a s/n. I would like to know
more about these filters.
