BC-779's.    I've  used lots of them in USAF, but I
never saw any that were upgraded.  The R-270(?)
was a feeble attempt to get crystal control for RTTY
circuits.  Used them with CV-31.  Not many R-270's
ever made.  That picture looks like the facility was
engineered and installed by the Plant Engineering Agency
(PEA) that did jobs for Sig Corps and Navy.  Few
people know that.   TRIVIA.
