[Milsurplus] BC-639

Rob,
     I purchased a BC-639 (S/N 180) in bad condition from an amateur flea market here in Australia a few years ago. There was a rats nest inside & it was a bit corroded. I found that, luckily, someone had previously replaced the Micamould capacitors. Most of the carbon resistors had gone high or open circuit due to moisture, even those around the LO & Rf section, replacing them all got the set working quite well, sensitivity very good, even the meter still works. I didn't even have to touch the RF or IF alinement!
