I hear what you're saying! After a while, the PR image DOES begin to wear thin
with the other troops.

After Col. Robert Scott wrote his book GOD IS MY COPILOT (about the 
"Flying Tigers"
in China) , and Warner Brothers madeit into a MOVIE, Scott was kinda 
Persona Non
Grata after he returned to that AAF.

Mention him to the REST of the gang, and the standard, disgusted reply was...

"God is his copilot? Sure...   and Jesus was his  ^%$%$ CREW CHIEF!"
