[Milsurplus] documentary question

Greetings,
The military knowledge on this list is awesome so I am going to ask 
forgiveness for the following off topic question.

Several years ago PBS showed a documentary based on the diary of a P-47 
Thunderbolt pilot, and his experiences during WWII. I figured it would show 
up again but it has not AFAIK. I have checked the PBS library and have not 
been able to find it listed in their archives.

The documentary was IMO quite awesome and I wonder if anyone knows the name 
of this film and/or where it can be obtained.
