[Milsurplus] UHF Radios At Gilbert, Pa Show. It's gonna be a BLAST!

 Hello Milsurplus Gang!
 The Phantom Of Smyrna, DE ( W3OWE ) and I, ( W2OBR ) ( oldbuzzardrich )
 will have (2) PRC-344's on the Air at the Gilbert Show. We will be operational on 222.200 MHz ( AM ) on 9/17/09 around 12:00 noon from the West End Fairgrounds from ( COMMO-1 ). Commo-1 is my CUCV 1010 communications vehicle.   One  PRC-344 is
 housed in ( COMMO-1 ), and the other PRC-344
is ready for a back pack test to parts unkown.
 
The unit in Commo-1 will have an RF output of
 2-20 watts. A small external amplifier will be used. The other backpack PRC-344 will be available for radio test day. This unit will only produce two watts ( RF ) output. This will be somewhat of a challange for the field exercise. We will be using two different kinds of antennas for the meet. We also will be using a PRC-352 out of the vehicle on 51.0 MHz. This is a British back pack unit using a 20 watt amp.

Looking forward to seeing you all there. Bernie ( W3OWE ) and I will be loaded with military commo gear to sell for the flea market portion of the meet.
