[Milsurplus] 6G and 7G Synchro Question

I'm interested in a position and heading repeating system from WW II Navy
ships that uses 6G and 7G Synchros. I believe these are standard BUORD or
BUWEPS types.

I've looked for data sheets on those devices on line, but w/o success so
far. I'm very familiar with synchros, resolvers, and other servo
components but lack the specs on these devices.

Does anyone either have or know where I can find a spec sheet on it?

I also might be interested in hardware, if anyone's floor is not in
immediate danger of flying away from lack of load.

Also, has anyone any recent experience with solid state simulators
(digital to Synchro converters)?
