[Milsurplus] ARC-38 chopper issues

The diagram on the can shows only one coil. they defiantly have to be some sort of precision system. are you saying I can run the chopper for contact rejuvenation on 60 cycles? did not know if that would damage what ever is inside them or not. think its a contact issue but don't see how a sealed can will have the contacts go bad but these things have been sitting idle for thirty or forty years so that don't help. why do you think they work when you beat on them?

The thing was likely made by Airpax, Bristol, Bulova/American Time
Products or Burr-Brown.
The guts of vthe thing is almost certainly a spring and mass like a
one-legged tuning fork. The mass will likely be a magnet. Sort of like
this:
