I wasn't talking about using cheap wrenches.  But about salvaging a good 
one damaged however.  Unlike some other tools, L-shaped and straight Allen and 
Bristol wrenches are usually the same spec material from end to end.  Some 
of my Xcelite drivers are up to half an inch shorter than when I bought them 
30-40 years ago.
