I read the short article by Royal Army officer summarizing German equipment.
Interesting to read more about the substitution of ferrous metal for 
magnesium
beginning in 1943 and the example of weight increase from 20 to 30 lbs. in 
one
tank transmitter. Also interesting to learn that the extensive use of 
castings made
later upgrades and improvements to equipment difficult or impossible.
