[Milsurplus] adding LSB to PRC 74A?

Mark,

I can't find my notes, so I'm working from memory. The heart of the
PRC-74 transceiver is a 1750 KHz LSB IF amp/filter. The conversion
scheme involved adding a modern crystal oscillator module at, say 1747
KHz that moves the injection to the other side of the filter. I think
there was a miniature relay to switch between USB and LSB. Of course
you're left with a 3 KHz frequency error on the readout.

I think the only good answer is to get some Mil-HF-Pack activity going
on 75 and 40 meters.

Regards,
Al
