The main use for them is in the PLGR GPS receiver.

Some early lots were defective.

All Ballard BA-5800/U batteries with contract number DAAB07-90-C-Co24
are dead-lined.
Do not activate the Discharge switch.
It's a 6 Volt battery and can be replaced by an adapter:
