This is just the ticket for running your ART-13 (or BC-375) and BC-348,
etc. using their dynamotors as intended. Here are the specs:
Output: 28 VDC @ 50 Amps continuous (or 62.5 A intermittent), voltage
adjustable in about 2 Volt steps from 23 to 33 VDC. Can also be jumpered
for 14 VDC output @ 100 Amps continuous, or 125 A intermittent. Has
output voltage and current meters.
Input: 115 VAC @ 24 Amps or 230 VAC @ 14 Amps. Circuit breaker protected.
Output ripple: 1 (one) percent, according to the nameplate. Has six
large electrolytic filter caps which gives it plenty of "oomph" for
starting large dynamotors.
This is a LINEAR (not switching) power supply and it weighs a ton! WAY
too heavy to ship. Dimensions are 23" high x 19" wide x 11" deep. Fan
cooled.
Condition: Working. Could use a paint job, only for appearance. Could
also use a good internal cleaning if the dust the fan sucks in bothers you.
I paid over $100 for this jewel at a DRMO auction several years ago but
am asking only $50 for it now because I am 76 y.o. and it's time to
start thinning out my collection of goodies.
Here's the catch: because it is too heavy to ship, it will have to be
picked up at my home in Mobile, Alabama. I might consider delivering the
thing anywhere along the I-10 corridor between Pensacola, FL and New
Orleans, LA, -IF- I can get a strong back or two to help load it in my van.
Please reply off-list if interested.
Thanks for reading,
Ed Greeley
