At a fixed location the weight of an LR would not be a disadvantage, and it is a much better instrument.

I noticed in the 2nd Appendix B, (c) Employment of Men and  material in Detail,  "In addition to the above, all radiomen....." (1)(c) LR-1 Frequency meter.

Should that have been  "LM-1" instead of LR-1?   I don't know whether or not there was an LM-1 and haven't looked at my Manuals to see either.
