Rod,

Meir already answered the first question.  The answer to the second is 
mostly none.  TM 11-854 on R-388/URR says indirectly that as initially procurred 
for use in AN/GRC-26A, the R-388 did not come with a cabinet.  In the 
section on equipment required but not supplied, along with a suitable antenna, 
source of 115 or 230 VAC, etc., is listed "d. A standard cabinet rack for 
mounting the receiver.".

However, NAVSHIPS 91678 on AN/URR-23A (including R-388/URR-23A) lists 
Cabinet CY-1235/URR.
