The motion picture studios were headquartered on Long Island near New York
City.  They also did almost all the stills for the tech manuals etc.  Not
that they didn't have other facilities, but sticking to the real world was
not their way.  While a lot of the Hollywood stars went to war and became
heroes, some of the bosses went to Long Island.  I still remember their VD
films from my AF basic training in 1945.
