[Milsurplus] BC-306 antenna tuning unit?

Aside from it's intended use with the BC-191 & BC-375 for operation at 150-800 KHz, is there any practical use a Ham could put one to?

I have a couple that were butchered for their cabinet hardware but otherwise intact. I'd like to use one for something rather than wasting space in storage.
