[Milsurplus] Any technical info available on T-96 radar jamming bomb?

Well, at least that's what I think it is. I've had one of these in my collection for at least 40 years and have never seen any documentation on it.

It has a cylindrical bomb like casing with sheet metal tail fins and a slip off nose sleeve that detaches from the body and releases a long wire antenna in flight. The body is made from fiber material and painted OD. It's not in front of me at the moment but is about 4 feet tall and 8" in diameter. Inside the body is some sort of transmitter surrounded by grooves to receive batteries and a settable clock on the center top of the body. I've always assumed the timer could be set to turn the device on and off at specified intervals and that a number of them dropped together with different on and off times would make detection more difficult.

Sound familiar to anyone? Any others out there or anyone with data? If more details are desired, I'll dig it out and link to some photos. Thanks.

Rick
