I have what I believe is a moile antenna for the
old police radio system.  It's a steel rod
with a loading coil in the middle.  Unique, but
the loading coil is shielded with a metal cover
which is about 2 or 3 inches in diameter.  It's
painted silver, that don't mean much.   The way
the rods, top and bottom, are screwed together
looks like it was copied in WWII.  Yes, I do
remember that expensive AM radios had a
"Police" band as well as the distant cities marked
on the shortwave ones.
