Hmmmm.....don't recall using the term "misguided".
I have spent considerable dollar at the Link store; some for real nice
condition stuff, some less so. My dollar voting is for something I
happen to like a lot; condition in the higher grades is nice but
strictly
secondary. Not that important to me. And yes, I've made out by
selling some fine condition things also. But I'd hope the buyer
bought them for a reason other than the shine, but in an auction,
money talks. Probably all of us have sometime sold something
to the "right home" rather than for top buck.
I have an ATB I took out of the shipping box. It was packed in a
hurry, I suppose, because the paint on the handles was apparently
still somewhat wet when packed, and there's newspaper stuck to
one. NIB but not MINT!~ha ha.
I'm just a member of a tribe other than the Mint Tribe. Both our tribes
share enuff language to communicate and trade, but we pretty much
feel more comfortable among our own.
BTW, it occurred to me that (at least for me) an interesting proven
provenance cuts Mint any day.
Also BTW, when I moved to this part of Oregon, I noticed these
signs by the road, "MINT COMPOST". Makes sense when you
know the agriculture of the area. -Hue Miller
