Very true.  Zum Beispeil, I have an RBL receiver which was never in
service because a ceramic coil form broke at the bottom where all the
little bolts go through.  Apparently it was looked at, and put back in
the box.  The repair wasn't bad; the ceramic pieces went back together
with epoxy and I fished the broken coil leads out of the wax, but, I had
to replace a dozen open/leaky/arcing MICA capacitors, and one oil-paper.
It works fine now, and there is no remedy for failed mica capacitors but
replacement.
