[Milsurplus] MAR

This sucker took some thinking to figure out.  Nowhere in the manual did I 
find a simple formula.  The set uses a single 10.06667 MC heterodyne crystal 
plus one crystal for each output channel.  The receiver mixer injection frequency 
is 30.2 MC above the channel frequency Fo.  The channel crystal frequency 
formula is (Fo + 30.2)/54.  

The IF in the MAR and RDR is 30.2 MC.  

The original (1944) shows the crystal case is a Navy Type 40163.  As shown in 
the manual, the pins are 0.050" dia. by 5/8" long spaced 0.486".  Case in the 
manual is shown as  1-1/4" H x 1-5/32" W x 7/16" T.  However, I have two 
incomplete crystal cases marked MAR.  The crystal type is still shown as 40163, 
with another number completely gone from one case and partially gone from the 
other that I can only read ???7/U of.  The holders in these cases looking like 
stubby HC-6/U, have the same pin diameter and spacing quoted above but are only 
0.20" long.
