When i saw this Epay listing for some Rossian
tubes that were "copied from the German (WW2)
RV12P2000", of course i was interested! At EU25
for the RV from European tube dealers, a radio
that used 10 of these tubes, that adds up to a bit
of money, and if you have several of the radios?
Ow! My first inclination was to "buy 'em all!!!" But
i decided that rational spending meant paced
spending, so i ordered the mininum increment of
12. These tubes are listed in some places as type
12J1L, however the Rossian characters on the
side look more like "12, X-like character, 1,
pi-like-character." The come wrapped in a paper
tubes, no box, with paper wrapping, like some
confection treat or like some expendable commodity
to fire against the enemy.

However, this partcular foolish buyer should have
looked at the photo more closely. The 12J1L has
a LOKTAL base. Hmmm.....the RV12P2000 has
side pins and an axial grid pin....that ain't gonna
work no way. So, i have 12 of these unique looking
metal tubes, NOS, complete with the detachable
tube puller cap, available in USA for USPS flat
rate shipping, which should be $10 or $11. IF
you are interested, please give some explanation,
so it's not just a case the lure of something for
(almost) free. Judge's decisions are final. No
response = claimed already, unlikely as that may
be. -Hue Miller
