Hello Bill,

You have the transmitter half of the SCR-522, the standard WWII Air
Corps VHF AM radio.  It was originally designed and used by the British.
After WWII, and into the 1970s, the radio was used by thousands of hams
for 2M AM.  Before FM, before repeaters, when you would just get on 2M
and call CQ.  What fun it was!!
