Yes, i agree, the conversions are a mutant species but a viable species.
( I would probably rule out the orange-painted BC-348s tho. And did i really
see one that had all the front panel paint removed? )
 
I have seen a couple conversions that were radical and, even beautiful.
I wouldn't mind seeing some more photos of noteworthy conversion radios
in the photo albums. 
 
I'm wondering who i can talk to, or even listen to, on this converted APS-13.
