Phil provided reference to an ebay picture and description of the USAF 75A-4:

It appears that the USAF version eliminated the two 10m bands, substituted
a 11 to 12 MHz band for the 11m band, and shifted down slightly the 1 MHz
coverage around the 15m band.
This animal is different from the ham 75A-4, but it is clearly labeled as
75A-4. Still, this seems like it was a stop-gap solution to USAF SSB needs.
I supposed that the R-388/URR (51J) and R-390(*) were not used instead
by the USAF because they lack the "designed for SSB" capability of the 75A-4.
But, why wouldn't the USAF use the the R-390A with, say, the CV-591 SSB converter?
Too large and expensive??? I wouldn't think that would be an issue for the
Strategic Air Command. I was in the USN ballistic missile submarine force and
funding in support of operations was never an issue.
