As some of you know, because you've bought manuals from me, I'm in the manual
business. Consequently I almost never publicly comment on what's on BAMA or
any of the other free sites. Even though I personally consider the bulk of
what's there as junk.

But for whatever reason I decided to take a look at what was at the link
below. The manual itself is incomplete. Further, although this revision claims
to cover the BC-348-Q, it actually doesn't. The revision of 07/30/45 is the
earliest that does. This isn't the fault of whoever scanned it except that he
should have checked. But in any case, the scanning was very poorly done.

The separate PDF with schematic and wiring diagrams also purports to cover
BC-348-JNQ but doesn't. It is a mix of stuff copied out of one or more of he
conversion books plus an early manual on the J. The first page is from the
BC-348-M preliminary manual. The second is from AN 08-10-112 on the BC-348-J,
probably of 02/25/42. The third is another -J schematic, probably from the
07/13/43 revision of the same manual by way of one of the conversion books as the
source information has been deleted. I think I remember it. It also covers
the BC-348-J although a handwritten note incorrectly says it also covers N and
Q. The fourth and fifth pages are also from AN 08-10-112 and cover the J.

As far as I know, there was never any specific information published on
BC-348-N so I don't know how it differed from J and Q or which one it is the same
as. The earliest manual actually covering the Q (with schematic) is dated
07/30/45. A further revision is dated 06/21/48. The final revision is dated
04/15/57 but the only thing changed was the manual number.

Back to lurk mode. After I delete the downloads.
