Yes.  Receivers so modified should be identified as BC-639-AM or BC-639-BM.  
The modification kit is MC-633.  The manual covering the modification is T.O. 
16-40BC639-22 dated 04/30/48.  Reprint $5.00 plus $2.00 shipping CONUS.  
Shipping higher OUTCONUS.  For whatever reason, the AM and BM full schematics were 
not added to the later revisions of the overall manuals.

If I ever get this new Xerox machine working properly, I may correct that 
oversight.
