Breaking us up in little interest groups might make someone feel good,
but it has served our community badly.  The "boatanchors" list on
The Porch, once known for many lively discussions on a varity of topics,
has gotten quiet, as have a lot more lists.
Now- if your hobby has any depth- you must seek out and 
subscribe to a dozen lists (and entrust your email address to a 
dozen providers like Yahoo).  All because either someone wants to 
be a "list master," or they can't tolerate diverse posts.  It's sad.
