I run dynamotours with most of the military equipment I use. ARC 5, BC 191,
BC 312, BC 348, ART 13. I find the inertial regulation by way of the
dynamotour not slowing down when keying, has the effect of greatly reducing
the amount of FMing these sets are sometimes known for. This is especially
apparent when running the BC 191. For the amount of use they get, it has
been no problem keep them running with periodic maintenance, lubing the
bearings, cleaning the brushes, etc. On the BD 77 for the BC 191, I pulled
the end bells for cooling. Per the manual, 1/2 hour is allowable run time,
but with the end bells off, it runs quite cool.
