Watch it! My green and purple are not "gee whiz" colors and do quite
nicely. They are artistic, something no one here would understand.

Yeah. Like now.

Oh, yeah? Trying to start something, aren't you!

I'm responding. Do something about it!

My meds are just fine, thankyouverymuch. My brain care specialists
know a heck of a lot better what I need than anyone else.

What, got something in your eye?
The rest is pure icky stuff unworthy of comment.
Okay, being serious for a change (Yes, folks, you may put down your
freakin' pitchforks now.) (You! Over there. That means you too.
Down! Now!), for the greater part, we have some darned good people
here. On the other hand, a small number depend on credentials rather
than hard experience to back them up. For myself, I dopnt' care how
many degrees you have or how many articles you've written or anything
else like that. I've written, and I've taught and I even have papers
that say I'm a genius - really! - but it simply doesn't matter in the
end, nor does anything else except hard *experience*.
This is sometimes a problem because no two people have the same
experience background nor will they approach a problem the same way.
As a result, in a discussion about how to do something both have ways
that are right ways as long as they work. "My way is the only way"
doesn't fly. Period. Simple as that.
Well, of course, unless it really is *my* way. (Okay, okay, I said
I'd be serious. Sorry.)
The exception is, of course, where there is a blatant violation of
physical law like power out exceeding power in. Even then, the errors
in the math can be pointed out politely and with dignity & respect
rather than a flame thrower. It works better and the flamer doesn't
lose credibility in the process. Personal attacks simply don't fly at
all. If you want to play school yard games like that then go to a
child care center (after closing hours, please) and have at it
becauuse that's the level you've gone to.
Am I guilty of any of the above? Oh, yeah. Big time. I have a
hair-trigger temper and I know it but sometimes it escapes and gets me
in a ton of trouble. Including here.
So, anyway, if the urge to make a fool of yourself strikes, count to
ten. Count to ten several times. Walk away from the keyboard and do
something cool for a while. Take a day if you have to. Then come
back with a level head and a cuppa something relaxing and look again.
Whatever got your ire up probably won't bother you so much this time.
And, if it does, hit 'del'. It works miracles.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
