I should proof read my stuff before I send it out.
Basically setting at 590Khz is off by one tick, 600 setting is ~= 
590Khz  so it needs alignment?

Is this the normal operation mode:  a bit touchie to set when  using a 
counter to set?
Have to be slow, like squeezing a trigger, to dial in the frequency 
using a counter.

The unit does seem stable with a drift about ~ +/- 20Hz on the Aux 
Master Reference or
Un doubled output or 0.0002% is this normal even though it does not 
match the dial.
