Recent discussion of these w/missing cal books jogged my memory.
I couldn't get the BASIC/FORTRAN version to work either so I developed a little OCD..........
and created one for my '221-AK using a modern frequency generator and Excel.
Here was my procedure after 4 hour warm-up:
1 - set the generator at the check point frequencies
2 - read the dial number off the BC-221/LM in question
3 - assuming these run nearly linear between checkpoints, develop slope of line between check points for interpolation calculations
4 - plug in start/end values for each check point pair.
5 - increment start value by 5kHz
The program does the rest.
Not dead-on, but it was close enough for my needs.
I'll send a copy of the Excel file to anyone who would like one to play with.
If you win the Nobel Prize, hoist one to me, hihi!
Cheers!
