[Milsurplus] AN/BRR-3 VLF receiver

Directory of Communications Equipment, NAVSHIPS 0967-420-1010, April 1, 1968 shows photos of AN/BRR-3, AN/BRR-3(XN-1) and AN/BRR-3(XN-2). It also states that ITT was the manufacturer of the AN/BRR-3 and AN/BRR-3(XN-2). The XN-2 version has a somewhat different front panel layout when compared to the straight AN/BRR-3. The XN-1 version built by Collins has a front panel that is very different from the other two. I once owned a BRR-3 (that came from San Diego) and I passed another one up at a radio swap meet in Seattle a few years ago......that's the only ones I've ever seen.
