[Milsurplus] AN/BRR-3 VLF receiver

The BRR-3 that was on the subs that I was on all had XN serial numbers.
I was on FBM subs.
All 41 of those had BRR-3 receivers as well as WRR-3.

I don not know what was installed on SSNs.

If these were only used on SSBN subs, the total require would be a 
hundred or so.
There would be 41 operational units, maybe four at each training 
facility a few on the tenders and some in supply for replacement of 
heavily damaged units.

At these numbers, maybe 50 pieces at each of two manufacturers, they 
may never have gone into official production.

It is possible all had XN serial numbers.
