Thanks to Dave Ross N7EPI, I'll be posting the complete 1952 version
soon - stay tuned.
Here's a quick summary of Navy equipment catalogs that I know of - I
would love to have more info and/or scans to add to the

NAVSHIPS 242A is the 1945 "List of Naval Radio, Radar, and Sonar
Equipment" with model, contractor, year, freq range, etc - no
description or photos. 152 pages - printed copy available from Robert

NAVSHIPS 275 is 1944 "Catalogue of Naval Radio Equipment" with 2-4
page descriptions and photos of equipment. 244 pages - printed copy

NAVSHIPS 900,116 is the 1946-52 "Catalogue of Naval Radio Equipment"
with 2-4 page descriptions and photos of equipment. 1448 pages -

JANAP 161 is the 1953 "Directory of Communications-Electronic
Equipment" merging Navy, Army, & Air Force docs with 2 page

MIL-HDBK-161 (TM-11-487A) is the 1958 "Military Handbook - Electronic
Communication Equipment" update of JANAP 161 covering Navy, Army, &
Air Force equipment. 2300 pages. Available on DVD from Andy at

TM-11-487A-1, TM-11-487A-2, TM-11-487A-3 are the 1964 increments to
the 1958 "Military Handbook - Electronic Communication Equipment"
covering Navy, Army, & Air Force equipment.
NAVSHIPS 94200.1 (NAVSHIPS 0967-420-0010) is the 1963 Navy Electronics
Supply Office "Directory of Communication Equipment" with 2-4 page
descriptions and photos. 10 sections, approx. 5000 pages total.
NAVSHIPS 94200.1-3 (NAVSHIPS 0967-420-0013) is the 1968 supplement to
the 1963 "Directory of Communication Equipment". 3 sections approx.
1400 pages. There are probably other supplements too?
