Pertinent to this discussion, I've created a pdf file of 6 pages from 
the Navy's Communications Equipment Maintenance Bulletin, updated as of 
April, 1945.

This book was issued to, I guess, all fleet ships and contains 
information both from the field and from HQ on shipboard comm. eqpt.  
The 6 pages I copied discuss oscillator and electric shaver radiation.

I'll be happy to send the pdf to anyone who wants it.  I'll collect the 
addys and send it out tomorrow.
