The 1.5 - 3.0 Mcs receiver works quite well
as the I.F. for one of the 40s and 50s mobile
converters from Gonset, Morrow, etc.

The BC-454 doesn't cover the broadcast band. What you need is an R-24/BC-946.

I'm looking for a BC-454/ARC-5 receiver that will
tune the .5 to 1.5 mc range. I need it to tune the
variable IF in the receiver portion of an ARC-2
ransceiver to use as a Q5'er. I don't need a
collector, a user would be fine. It needs to be
tunable because the IF in the ARC-2 is the
Collins variable design. The bandwidth of the
ARC-2 is just too broad to be useful on 75 or
40 meters.
Thanks in advance for any assistance offered.
