David -
I had a book that molded also - this was what I did.
get some chlorine tablets, break up and place in old nylon or breathable
container place paper in plastic bag.
After a few days of soaking up the gas take pages in bags outside and
place in bright full sun shine each side for no more that 30 minutes.
No more the 30 minutes as suggested by a restorer who was kind enough to
guide me through the process.
Important do not let the chlorine tablets, touch the paper.
Brush the dry mode off the surface with a camel hair brush.
Get an Art Gum eraser, could be a bunch of this needed. Tear off a
small bit and use this to gently remove any stubborn mold spots.
Re-brush frequently and toss the gum eraser after use on each page as
needed.
Suggest doing this all outside.
Good luck -
Hutch
