If it is military gear, what is found at hamfests is mostly random and unpredictable.

I attended every hamfest I could for several decades, including six trips to Dayton,
trying to find SCR-274-N and AN/ARC-5 components to make complete military
installations. I literally made more progress in the first six months I was on ebay
than I had made in the previous three decades attending hamfests and swap meets.

I discount hamfests as a source for anything military, except by pure chance. I
haven't been to Dayton since 2002, but even then I only spent four hours there
for my seven-hour drive and $22 ticket before I found something better to do
(like visit Fair Radio and the Air Force Museum).

And speaking of hamfests, tomorrow and Sunday is the Huntsville Alabama hamfest.
